In the village of La Mela is this ‘cortijo’ styled house. It is fairly new but was designed to blend in with the traditional architecture of the village. A big terrace at the front dominates the front of the houses giving lots of outside living space and an extra dimension to the living areas and the bedrooms. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a living room with log fire and fully equipped independent kitchen. Outside there is a large garden the total plot size being 450m2 so there is plenty of space for a swimming pool. The combination of lots of open space, large terraces and big glass doors help you to maximize your enjoyment of the sunshine and unspoilt countryside. The pretty village of La Mela is set against the fabulous Filabres Mountains in Almería in Southern Spain. While it is small, it does have a community swimming pool, a shop, a children’s playground, and football and sports areas and even a wash house for those who want to save electricity! Following a labyrinth of well marked footpaths will take you into the rolling countryside where you may even see the prehistoric cave paintings, one of which has been taken as the symbol of the village. La Mela lies in a central point between the villages of Sorbas, Uleila del Campo, Lubrín and Cariatiz. It makes a perfect location for visitors being 30 minutes from Mojácar and the coast, 40 minutes from the shopping centres of Almería and 45 minutes from Almería airport.
